The first Playing with Learning conference, Unlocking the Learning Experience, was organised as part of the Higher Education Academy's HE in FE Enhancement Programme to showcase innovative and entertaining ways of engaging college students in higher levels of learning, and was such a tremendous success that a second conference, Playing with Learning 2: Making Connections, was arranged the following year.
